So when the government no longer wants to care for a lighthouse they look for stewards to care for it. A dream over a decade in the making my husband Kevin and I ,  through our non-profit CLEVELAND HARBOR LIGHTHOUSE HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC., are applying for a chance to care for the West Pierhead Light here in Cleveland, OH. The lighthouse will take a lot of care, love, and financial support to restore it, maintain it, and hopefully one day in the future open it up to the public again. We are looking for pledges of financial support to help us on this mission as well as interest in volunteering with our non-profit in the future.

FUN FACT: Lucas our four-year-old son is also in this picture, I was several months pregnant with him when we first toured the lighthouse. Historically I may be the only pregnant woman to ever be in the lighthouse. (Not officially proven, but highly likely)
